OUCH and DAN are designed to handle personal and medical information responsibly. This page explains our approach in plain English.
How we protect data
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest where supported by our providers.
- Role-based access control — practices only see cases assigned to them.
- Audit logging for key actions and case changes.
- Payments handled by Stripe — we do not store card details.
- Minimal data collection — only what’s needed to arrange emergency dental care.
Data sharing
Patient information is shared only with the dental practice that accepts the appointment, and only to the extent needed to deliver care.
