Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 February 2026

These Terms apply to your use of Alevian Health services, including OUCH (for patients) and DAN (for dental practices). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

What the service is (and isn’t)

OUCH helps patients request an emergency dental appointment and allows participating dental practices to offer available appointment slots via DAN.

We do not provide clinical advice or treatment. Treatment decisions and clinical responsibility remain with the dental practice and clinician providing care.

If you have severe symptoms or believe you need urgent medical attention, call 999 or seek emergency medical help.

Eligibility and accuracy

You must provide accurate information when using OUCH. You must not use the service to submit misleading, fraudulent, or abusive requests.

Booking fee

OUCH may charge a £30 booking fee to confirm an appointment offered by a dental practice. This fee is a booking/coordination fee and is not a treatment fee. Any treatment costs are set by the dental practice and paid separately to the practice.

Refunds

Where applicable, refunds are handled in line with the information shown during the booking flow and any confirmation communications. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us at info@alevianhealth.com.

Availability and no guarantees

We aim to help match patients to participating practices, but we do not guarantee that a practice will be available, that an appointment will be offered, or that a particular outcome will occur.

Practice participation (DAN)

Dental practices using DAN are responsible for ensuring they are appropriately regulated, insured, and able to provide the services they offer. Practices control their availability and capacity within DAN.

Acceptable use

You must not:

Intellectual property

We own or license the rights in the platform and its content. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or distribute any part of the service except as permitted by law.

Liability

We provide the service on an “as is” basis. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and we are not responsible for the clinical services provided by dental practices.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you breach these Terms or if we need to do so to protect the platform, users, or comply with law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
